Abstract
Data mining the 100765502 rows of the Third U.S. Naval Observatory CCD Astrograph Catalog has yielded at total of 328 previously unreported common proper-motion pairs.

Common proper-motion pairs in the UCAC3 catalogue

Introduction and Methodology - As the name implies common proper-motion pairs share very similar proper motions. Nicholson (2006) described the techniques used to extract information on common proper-motion pairs from catalogs available through the Vizier system. By combining the identification of pairs of stars (of UCAC fit model magnitude (579-642nm) 8 to 14) lying within 90 arc seconds of each other with the proper motion information included in the UCAC3 catalog it proved possible to identify 328 previously unreported common proper-motion pairs.
