A sample of the microstructure of local spacetime (if examined utilizing hardware/software yet to be developed) would look exactly like a second sample that is a spherically collapsed image of the entire background of the sky. That is because spacetime’s static microstructure is isomorphic throughout the entire universe, even though each unique proton sees a different point of view, depending upon its location and motion relative to the stars. It is relative locations and motions that distinguish one proton from another, all else being the same, and because of this, each proton has a unique property defined as its “inertia”. It is like observing that the voltage of a battery will measure the same here as it will near Alpha Centauri, even though its state of inertia will be different at each location. It is also a close analog to the properties of a magnetic field structure vis-a-vis relatively moving electric charges.
This may seem at first to be a trivial observation, but it means that the entirety of the static information (the basic operating system, or software) of the universe is always available right in front of us, yet it is the dynamic, second order changes on top of this information that define “time” and that our brain detects as the “thoughts of consciousness”.
